Vinyl Installation: What to expect
We want you to be well-prepared on your vinyl installation day. Knowing what to expect before, during, and after your installation will make for a smoother process. We take pride in our installation services and aim to make the process as painless as possible for you.
We'll start the process by removing all furniture and other objects from the area where the vinyl is going. Before your appointment, we'll discuss any unusually large or bulky objects that may require special attention from our team. Before our crew arrives, we'll also need you to empty the contents of any china cabinets, closets & drawers.
Rest assured that the Custom Floor & Design team will be available to answer any questions that you might have before the installation begins. So if you have them, always feel free to reach out.
We also recommend that, prior to the completion of the installation, you discuss the goals of the installation with our crew. This will ensure both sides are on the same page and make for a more seamless installation. Once discussed, the installer will follow the vinyl flooring layout that you determined with our designers.
Be prepared to stay home on your installation day. Your presence will help to ensure that our crew has the right directives and working in the correct areas of your home. We'll do our best, upon arriving, to give you a realistic expectation of how long the job will take.
Your installation crew will be using a variety of tools while working on your vinyl floor. Please make sure that your children and pets are kept out of the work area on installation day. Safety is a top priority for us.
After the installation is complete, it’s necessary to stay off your vinyl flooring for up to 48 hours. If you have any questions after your vinyl is installed, the team at Custom Floor & Design is always available.
